INITIATIVES
 
The employment unit engaged in the following broad outreach initiatives in accordance with various elements of FCC Rule 73.2080(c)(2):
 
Established training programs designed to enable station personnel to acquire skills that could qualify them for higher level positions. We provide RAB training for our Acct. Executives.  This training enables them to become certified at graduating levels as a marketing professional and  prepares them for future promotions and employment opportunities. This is accessed online. Each certification is separate and each Account Executive works at their own pace to achieve each level. This is ongoing training.
 
We also have regular telephone training and coaching for our programming department provided by our paid programming consultants. These occur about once per month. As air talents implement the suggestions they improve their on air performance. Air talents are “promoted” either internally to program management positions or they improve to the point where they move on to a larger market for more compensation.
 
Sponsored at least 2 events in the community designed to inform and educate the public as to employment opportunities in broadcasting. Sales Manager spoke at FPRA luncheon. 
 
Station hosted Chamber of Commerce Business After Hours.  Members were given tours of the station and briefed on the duties/responsibilites of the various positions.
